Join us for two more International Kylt Trainings in 2019

The International Kylt Training is due for the sixth installment already in April of 2019. And we have the seventh scheduled for September already as well.

We are looking forward to again welcome our customers and soon-to-be customers to our premises in Germany.

The 6th International Kylt Training will take place in our Headquarter in Höltinghausen/Germany on the 2nd and 3rd of April 2019.

The 7th International Kylt Training will be held in on the 3rd and 4th of September 2019.

We will introduce you to the advantages of Real-Time PCR for veterinary diagnostics including:

  • How to take samples

  • How to purify RNA and DNA for subsequent qPCR.

  • PCR Setup and analysis of the results.

  • Troubleshooting

  • How to set up you PCR laboratory

  • Practical Lab work, extract your own samples and set up your PCR-reaction.

Of course, we'll provide food and drinks during the training and we'll organize evening activities as well.

Let us know if you are interested to join this or one of the next International Kylt Trainings.

We are happy to welcome new and existing customers as well as people looking to start fresh into the veterinary diagnostic PCR.

New Application Note for Kylt in International Proficiency Testing Schemes
Results from several international ring trials proove the quality of Kylt Products

The AniCon laboratory offers accredited service veterinary diagnostics to customers around the world. We routinely use our Kylt®-products in our own high-throughput processes. Together with Macherey-Nagel, we have used data from several international proficiency testing schemes to compile an Application Note.

For the Application Note, we used data generated in 2017 with international Proficiency Testing Schemes organized by GD Animal Health.
We have generated results that were correct in all cases. There were neither false-positive nor false-negative results. Compared to other labs, our sensitivity was generally above the average reported.
This proves our system to be highly effective and reliable.

The following products were used for this Application Note

Supported qPCR Cyclers in the Kylt Software 3.1

Our Kylt Software 3.1 currently supports 9 different qPCR-Cyclers and the correponding software.

Please find the supported Cyclers in the table below and please inquire should you use any other cycler.

Which qPCR Cyclers work with Kylt kits?

A frequent inquiry that we receive at Kylt is, if an existing qPCR Cycler will work with our kits.

From our own experience and from our customers we know, that many qPCR-Cyclers will work with our kits.

The prerequisite is, that the used Fluorescence channels are available and that changes can be made to the temperature profile.

The following qPCR Cyclers are tested successfully and are also an available option in the Kylt Software:

BioRad CFX 96 and 384

Agilent AriaMX

Stratagene MX3005

Rotorgene 3000 and 6000 (Q)

LightCycler 96 and 480

ABI 7500

Please inquire, if you use a different type of qPCR Cycler.

Synonyms for Fluorescence Channels

Depending on the manufacturer, the fluorescence channels are named differently for approximately identical wavelengths.

Most of our kits use a combination of FAM and HEX. For the multiplex kits we add Cy5 or Texas Red or both. Please refer to the table below to check, which channels to choose or if your cycler is ready to be running Kylt kits.
